During the darkest days of the pandemic, I started a series on those who carry the light. I thought of the wonderful Mr. Rogers quote:

“When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.”

And thus I knew I needed to paint the love- the light- and the miracleworkers who spread it throughout our society. I am grateful to them and strive to help spread their light forward too.
